Safer Apopka | Fire Rescue

  • Added 2 new Fire Stations over my term, which will allow Apopka to stay ahead of Fire/Rescue demands of our growing city
  • Proper station coverage, staffing, and updated equipment has allowed Apopka to retain our ISO 1 level rating and accreditation; lowering insurance costs for our residents
  • I have also fought to secure funding for our ladder and tower equipment to meet the demands of vertical structures coming into Apopka

Managed Growth & Community Voice

  • Updated the city's Land Development Code which had not been revised since 1992, ensures new development is managed and balanced
  • I fought to ensure our residents had a say in what Apopka looks like by leading the effort to revise our Major Development definition from 300 homes down to 50 homes; preserving public input when reviewing large residential developments
  • I fought to ensure we did not have large new developments all with single family homes with 40 foot wide lots by leading the effort to eliminate Small Lot Districts in our Code, protecting open space in our neighborhoods
